    Parent/Guardian Safety Letter

    RE: Afterschool Pick-up

    Dear parents and/or guardians,

Your child’s safety is the number one priority at Stephen M, White Middle School & STEAM Magnet. On Friday, March 22, 2019, at approximately 5:00 p.m. there was an incident that reminded our learning community that proper supervision is a key component to ensuring your child’s safety before and after school. When your child is dismissed from school, there are a variety of structured, supervised programs that are available after school for Stephen White students. They include the following:

Program Days of the Week Time Supervisor

    After School Tutoring M. W. Th. 3:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. | Ms. R. Boller/ Ms. K. Nogawa-Ross

    Boys & Girls Club M~F, 3:30 p.m. — 6:00 p.m. Mir. J Villanuela

    Beyond the Bell M-F, 3:30 p.m. — 6:00 p.m. Ms. M. Hayes

    Tuesday Dismissal - 6:00 p.m. | Ms. M. Hayes/Mr. Villanuela

Due to safety concerns, if your child is not enrolled and participating in one of the aforementioned programs, they must exit the campus at dismissal, No student may remain on school property without adequate supervision. This includes the front of the school on Figueroa Street and the perimeter that includes 223" Street, 220 Street, and Moneta Street, The expectation is that parents and/or guardians will make arrangements to pick up their child or make arrangements for their child to get home or to their caregiver immediately after dismissal.
