S.T.E.A.M. Magnet

Welcome to the S.T.E.A.M. Magnet Family

We are moving Full steam ahead!

Hello S.T.E.A.M. Family,

Welcome to another exciting year at Stephen White Middle School S.T.E.A.M. Magnet.  I am honored and enthusiastic to be your Magnet Coordinator.  A lot of great, new things are happening on campus this year and all of our wonderful traditions will continue full S.T.E.A.M. ahead.  Through the S.T.E.A.M. theme, our students receive countless opportunities to participate in real-world problem solving and hone their Twenty-first Century skills in both individual and group settings.  To honor the "A" in S.T.E.A.M., we offer robust arts elective pathways.  We will continue with our emphasis on the four Cs: collaboration, communication, creativity, and critical thinking.  In addition, we will continue to implement Interdisciplinary Project-Based Learning at every grade level.  This year we are a true one to one school, so every child has access to technology throughout the day, and even more lessons, projects and activities will have technology at the forefront.

We are grateful to continue with our community partnerships with CTE, Project Lead the Way, Marathon Petroleum, Kaiser Permanente, Shell Oil Company, and CSUDH CSI3.

On behalf of our dedicated staff and faculty, I'd like to welcome you to our school. We look forward to being partners in your child's education.
